Welcome

Hello there! Welcome to Legacy Med, where our mission is to empower you with exceptional executive medical services. We believe that by prioritizing your health, we can contribute to creating a healthier, more productive workforce and contribute to the growth of South Africa.

Our Philosophy on Preventative Medicine

We strongly believe in the importance of preventative medicine, especially in addressing non-communicable diseases (NCDs) like heart attacks, strokes, and cancers, which are projected to be the leading causes of death by 2030.

Our assessments are designed not only to educate you on lifestyle risks but also to screen for and recognize potential health issues early on. By conducting these assessments annually and tracking objective measurements and trends, we aim to provide valuable insights into your health and promote preventive measures.

Moreover, we offer anonymized synopses of a company’s well-being for employers, enabling them to identify specific concerns or trends over time.

Objectives of an Assessment

During your assessment, our objectives include:

  • Establishing your baseline health status
  • Identifying any undiagnosed chronic illnesses and risk factors
  • Addressing unhealthy lifestyle behaviors
  • Tracking changes in your lifestyle habits, health markers, and overall health over time
  • Identifying and addressing potential future health risks
  • Providing guidance on managing your current and future health concerns effectively

Three Steps for Success

Pre-Consultation

This initial step involves:

  • Completing a health questionnaire and pathology tests to identify any physical and mental health risks and concerns.
  • Special investigations, including pathology lab tests, medical questionnaires, health history evaluations, and assessments of work and lifestyle-related factors such as physical activity, nutrition, stress, and sleep health.

Consultation

During this phase, you’ll undergo:

  • In-depth medical assessment with a doctor, followed by a biokinetic assessment.
  • Further investigations such as resting and stress ECGs, lung function tests, eye tests, and urine tests.

Post-Consultation

After your consultation, we’ll provide you with a comprehensive individual report, which includes cumulative yearly data and individual comments from the doctor and biokineticist. Referrals are given if there are any concerning results. It’s important to note that all of this information is strictly confidential and not shared with your employer.

The Benefits of an Executive Wellness Assessment for Individuals

Undergoing regular health assessments offers numerous benefits, including:

  • Improved health and well-being
  • Enhanced awareness and self-care
  • Customized recommendations for improvement
  • Long-term health benefits

In summary, health assessments provide valuable insights, personalized recommendations, and the opportunity for proactive health management, positively impacting your overall well-being and long-term health outcomes. We believe that investing in your health is essential for your happiness and success.

Welcome aboard, and let’s prioritise your health together!
